About Us
This page introduces the association’s history, foundation, and mission.
Our Story
We established the association during the COVID-19 pandemic, when it became clear that many disadvantaged children were being pushed out of education as schools switched to digital learning. Lack of devices, lack of information, and low digital skills made school participation impossible for many children, creating an urgent need for local intervention. Our organisation was founded by a professional with many years of experience in education and social work. Our work was soon strengthened by the joining of teachers, social workers, and volunteers. Our work is built on an active volunteer network and broad professional cooperation. Our strengths include extensive field experience in local communities, trusted relationships with Roma families, and ongoing collaboration with educational and child welfare institutions. What makes us unique is that we do not appear in communities as outside experts; instead, we work through continuous local presence and relationships built on trust.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help improve the educational opportunities of disadvantaged children and to strengthen social inclusion and equal treatment in local communities. We believe every child has a fundamental right to quality education, a safe and accepting environment, and a real chance to develop. To support this, we provide direct assistance while also working to strengthen families, expand community participation, and improve cooperation with institutions. Our goal is to build local communities where children, parents, and institutions can work together, and where Roma families are not passive recipients but active shapers of their children's educational path.
